Product Details

A Retinol Peel is a professional Vitamin A skin treatment for people concerned about dullness, uneven tone, visible texture, congestion or fine surface lines. It offers controlled exfoliation within a carefully planned clinical appointment rather than the unsupervised use of a strong home peeling product.

At It’s Me & You Skin Clinic, every peel begins with an individual skin consultation led by Dr Laura Geige and our doctor-led team. Your sensitivity, current skincare, previous reactions and desired outcome are reviewed before treatment is recommended.

Our clinic is located at Siddeley House, 50 Canbury Park Road, Kingston upon Thames, KT2 6LX. Patients seeking a Vitamin A peel near Norbiton can walk from the station, use local buses or take the short rail connection to Kingston.

Please contact the clinic before purchasing this consultation. We must confirm availability and assess your suitability first. Purchasing does not guarantee that a Retinol Peel will be recommended or performed.

Travelling from Norbiton Station

Norbiton is closely associated with Kingston Hospital, Kingsmeadow and the residential streets around Coombe Road and Kingston Hill. Its position immediately beside central Kingston makes the clinic accessible without a journey into central London.

Siddeley House is approximately 0.6 miles from Norbiton Station. Patients who are comfortable walking can continue towards Canbury Park Road, allowing time according to their pace and chosen route.

Kingston is the neighbouring railway stop. Travelling one stop by train can be convenient for patients who prefer a shorter walk, as Siddeley House is described as approximately two minutes from Kingston Station.

Local bus services also connect Norbiton with Kingston town centre. Routes and live departures should be checked before travelling, particularly during school and commuter periods.

Drivers can consider central Kingston car parks, Controlled Parking Zones and pre-bookable private spaces. The Bentall Centre and Rotunda are nearby, although parking availability and restrictions should be checked on the day.

As you enter Siddeley House through the main doorway, our ground-floor clinic room is the first one on the left. The building is the Grade II listed former Hawker Experimental Shop at 50 Canbury Park Road.

What Is a Retinol Peel?

A Retinol Peel is a professional chemical peel containing a form of Vitamin A. It is applied to carefully prepared skin to encourage controlled surface exfoliation and support a fresher, smoother-looking complexion as the skin renews.

It differs from an ordinary retinol moisturiser or serum used at home. A professional peel is selected, applied and supervised in the clinic, with preparation and aftercare adapted to the patient’s skin rather than left to trial and error.

The treatment may be considered when the complexion appears tired, rough, congested or uneven. It can also be discussed for visible pores, early fine lines and changes in tone, although no particular result can be promised.

A Retinol Peel is not identical to glycolic, salicylic or trichloroacetic acid treatments. Different peel ingredients and depths suit different concerns, so one type should not automatically be substituted for another.

During the appointment, the skin is cleansed and examined before the chosen product is applied according to the clinical protocol. The clinic currently describes its Retinol Peel appointment as taking approximately 15 to 30 minutes, although consultation and preparation may require additional time.

For a wider explanation of the procedure, visit our main Retinol Peel treatment page. It provides the central Kingston treatment information to which this Norbiton page relates.

Potential Benefits of a Vitamin A Peel

A brighter-looking complexion is one of the principal reasons people consider this treatment. Controlled exfoliation may help dull surface skin appear fresher once the initial peeling or dryness has settled.

Uneven texture can make the complexion look rough even when it is otherwise healthy. A professionally selected peel may support a smoother and more refined surface appearance.

Visible pores and congestion may also be discussed during consultation. The treatment does not permanently close pores, but clearer and more even-looking skin may make them appear less prominent.

Fine lines can look more noticeable when the skin is dry or textured. A Retinol Peel may soften their visible appearance, although lines caused by facial movement or structural ageing may require another approach.

Some patients prefer a peel because it does not involve needles or add facial volume. It concentrates on the surface quality of the skin while leaving natural proportions and expression unchanged.

A further benefit of consultation is the opportunity to compare options. Depending on the concern, Dr Laura Geige may advise SkinPen microneedling, an Obagi peel, medical-grade skincare or a gentler staged programme instead.

Preparing for Your Retinol Peel

Contact It’s Me & You Skin Clinic before purchasing. This first conversation allows us to confirm availability and arrange the correct consultation rather than treating an online purchase as automatic approval.

Provide a full account of your skin history, including sensitivity, allergies, pigmentation changes and previous reactions to peels or retinoids.

Tell Dr Laura Geige about prescribed medicines, over-the-counter preparations and supplements. Do not stop prescribed treatment unless the clinician responsible for your care has specifically advised you to do so.

Bring details of your current skincare routine. Retinol, retinal, exfoliating acids, scrubs and benzoyl peroxide may need to be paused for approximately one week, but the correct timing should be confirmed individually.

Please disclose recent waxing, laser treatment, microneedling, injectable procedures or another chemical peel. The skin may require time to recover before a further treatment is considered.

Notify the clinic if you develop sunburn, an active cold sore, inflamed acne, infection, broken skin or a significant rash near the proposed treatment area. Proceeding over irritated skin may not be appropriate.

Avoid deliberate tanning and use suitable sun protection in the period before your appointment. Recently sun-exposed or sensitised skin may respond less predictably.

Attend without heavy make-up or false tan where practical. Arriving with calm, clean skin allows its natural condition to be assessed more accurately before the peel is applied.

Retinol Peel Aftercare

Dryness, tightness, redness or visible flaking may develop after treatment. The amount of peeling varies, and the absence of dramatic flaking does not necessarily mean that the appointment was ineffective.

Cleanse gently and use the simple moisturising products advised by the clinic. Strongly fragranced formulas or newly introduced skincare may cause unnecessary irritation while the barrier is settling.

Do not pick, rub or peel away loose skin. Allow any flaking to separate naturally, as premature removal may leave the area tender and more vulnerable to discolouration.

Retinoids, exfoliating acids, abrasive scrubs and other strong active products should usually remain paused for at least one week or until your practitioner confirms that they can be restarted.

Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and limit direct sun exposure. Freshly treated skin requires particularly careful protection while it is dry, red or peeling.

Saunas, steam rooms, very hot showers and strenuous exercise may need to be avoided temporarily. Follow the personalised timeframe provided at your appointment.

Contact the clinic if you experience marked swelling, blistering, worsening pain, extensive crusting, spreading redness or another response that feels excessive. Unexpected reactions should be assessed rather than managed solely through online advice.

Why Choose It’s Me & You Skin Clinic?

Doctor-led chemical peels are already available elsewhere in Kingston. Our distinction lies in a named consultation with Dr Laura Geige and the attention given to skin preparation, sensitivity and aftercare before a Retinol Peel is selected.

As Dr Laura Geige explains, “A retinol peel should never be a one size fits all treatment.” The condition of the skin, current routine, lifestyle and previous reactions all influence how the appointment should be planned.

We use carefully selected, high-quality professional materials. The treatment is not applied according to a generic online package, and a different peel or skincare programme may be advised where it better suits the skin.

Consultation also helps distinguish apparently similar concerns. Dullness, congestion, pigmentation, acne scarring and irritation may require different treatments despite looking alike in photographs.

The clinic room offers a calm ground-floor setting within an unusual historic building. Its position immediately to the left of the entrance makes arrival straightforward and discreet.

Norbiton patients can reach the clinic without entering central London, while remaining close to Kingston’s principal rail, bus and shopping facilities. This creates a practical setting for treatment without the bustle of a large hospital-style centre.

For patients approaching from the south-western side of Kingston, our Retinol Peel page for Surbiton explains the adjoining local service area. It complements the main Kingston treatment page rather than representing a separate clinic.

Retinol Peel Norbiton FAQs

What is a Retinol Peel?

A Retinol Peel is a professional Vitamin A treatment that encourages controlled exfoliation and visible skin renewal. It may be considered for dullness, uneven texture, congestion and selected fine lines.

Is a Retinol Peel the same as using retinol at home?

No. Home retinol products are used gradually as part of a regular skincare routine. A professional peel uses a clinic-applied formulation with supervised preparation, application and aftercare.

Will my skin visibly peel?

Some patients experience dryness, tightness or noticeable flaking, while others peel only lightly. The visible response varies according to the skin and treatment protocol, so dramatic peeling should not be treated as the measure of success.

How much downtime should I allow?

The clinic classifies the treatment as having moderate downtime. Redness, dryness and flaking may affect how comfortable you feel attending an important social or professional occasion, so the appointment date should be chosen thoughtfully.

Must I contact the clinic before purchasing?

Yes. Please contact It’s Me & You Skin Clinic first so that availability and likely suitability can be checked. Purchasing the consultation does not guarantee that a Retinol Peel will be recommended or performed.
